PICNIC

This day we can go in the morning to St Stephen's Green, a public park located in the center of Dublin city. Since Barnacles we will take about 15 minutes to reach the park. Once there we can make some games and after lunch visit the Gaiety Theatre located in front of the park. After watching the Theatre can take the tram, as there is a station right next and go to the Guinness factory about 5 minutes from where the tram left us. After visiting the factory we can go to O'Connell Street, but is quite far and I can't find any bus that goes from where we are up to there, it would be necessary to take more a bus. After doing some shopping on O'Connell Street we will back to Barnacles for dinner and dress up to leave after.

SALAD


INGREDIENTS (4 people):
  • 1 Lettuce
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 1 onion.salad.jpg
  • 2 cans of tuna
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Vinegar

  1. Wash and cut all ingredients.
  2. Put all vegetables in a fountain.
  3. Add tuna.
  4. Dress the salad with salt, oil and vinegar (optional). Remove it. You can add other ingredients like carrots, eggs, corn, cucumber…

CHICKEN SOUP


INGREDIENTS (4 people):
  • 1 kg of chicken cuts.
  • 100 g of onion.
  • 1 carrot.
  • 1 leek
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 1 tomato

  • salt
  • lemon

  1. Put the chicken and vegetables in a big casserole with 2L of water.
  2. simmer for 2 hours.
  3. Turn off heat. Remove the chicken from pan.
  4. Crumble the chicken. Normally we use a portion of chicken (breasts), to accompany the soup.
  5. Triturate vegetables.
  6. Add to broth: crumbled chicken, crushed vegetables and noodles.
  7. Cook ten minutes. Add salt. Squeeze half a lemon.
  8. Serve hot.

POTATOES OMELETTE


INGREDIENTS (4 people):
  • Oil
  • 100 g of onion (optional)
  • 6 eggs.
  • 4 big potatoes.

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut the potatoes into thin slices.
  2. Fry potatoes in oil over low heat.
  3. Add the onion, cut into slices too. Increase the heat gradually.
  4. Once done, drain the oil from the potatoes and onion.
  5. Beat the eggs with a pinch of salt.
  6. Mix the eggs with the potatoes and the onions.
  7. Pour oil in the frying pan and add the potatoes mixed with eggs.
  8. When curdle the bottom, turn around with a plate. Repeat this several times. It should be juicy inside.
  9. Remove when golden on both sides. Serve.





DESSERT: FRUITS.


And for dessert, you can eat the fruit that you want! (apple, banana, grapes, orange, melon...)
